Palermo 22 June 2022, ELAN seminar on EU family law

The 6th seminar of the “EU L@w for Notaries – Notaries for EU L@w” training programme was held on Wednesday 22 June in Palermo, under the auspices of the Italian Council of Notaries, in partnership with the Maltese notariat. The seminar took place in hybrid format (in presence and online) with the purpose of analysing  EU Family Law with special focus on EU Succession Regulation and EU Regulations on property regimes. The proceedings of the seminar were introduced by M. Marino (President of the Notarial Council of Palermo) and moderated by G. Liotta (ENN coordinator). The scientific team, besides the aforementioned notaries, was composed by P. G. Pisani, V. Crescimanno, F. Salerno Cardillo and A. Cappiello.

The structure of the seminar was designed, in compliance with the CNUE guidelines, by A. Cappiello (Italian member in the ELAN committee) to respond to the more specific needs of the local notaries, allowing them to interact with the trainers before and after the seminar. An interactive ad hoc website was designed in order to let the participants practise with the main concepts contained in the EU Regulations with modules and practical simulations ranging from basic concepts to complex case studies. The seminar website is in English and Italian: if you wish to practise with EU regulations and consult the material, you can go to website section “case studies/material” of the seminar. You can also participate to the survey that will produce aggregate data from the notarial EU interaction.

At the end of the ELAN seminars, a learning platform will host a number of webinars, e-learning modules and MOOCs on EU family law, Company law and data protection.

The calendar of ELAN seminars and their programmes are available on the CNUE website.
